One policeman martyred and two other officials injured on Wednesday after gunmen opened fire at a security vehicle in Charsadda.
The attack, which took place in the Tangi tehsil of the district, martyred Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Muhabbat Khan while two other police constables sustained critical injuries.
The injured policemen, identified as Tauseef and Masur, have been shifted to a nearby hospital while the attackers fled after the incident.
The police reached the place of incident and launched a search operation in the area.
