Election Commission of Pakistan has established twenty one appellate tribunals to hear appeals.
According to the Commission, six tribunals have been established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eight in Punjab, four in Sindh, two in Balochistan and one in Islamabad.Appellate Tribunals will decide the appeals by 27th of this month, after which the revised list of candidates will be published on the next day.
The appeals will be decided by appellate tribunals by June 27, while the revised list of candidates will be published by June 28.
Meanwhile, the Commission will complete the process of scrutiny of nomination papers filed by candidates for upcoming general elections on Tuesday.According to Election Commission, a total of 21,482 nomination papers have been filed across the country for national and provincial assemblies.
As many as 6063 candidates are contesting for 342 seats of the National Assembly while 15419 nomination papers have been filed for the provincial assemblies seats.
